Developing 'Real-World' Leadership Capacity, Skills, Confidence & Peer Support Networks

Inspiring ChangeMakers creates experiential leadership programmes and workshops which are designed to: develop capabilities and skills; refresh people's thinking; inspire new ideas; build confidence to do things differently and lead change.

Developing effective and sustainable networks is a part of that process. Trusted people who can listen, ask insightful questions, challenge and support you.

Inspiring ChangeMakers has a track record of producing results and continuing useful engagement across networks.

Change happens.  Organisations, groups, teams, and those working in collaboration or partnership, need to develop people's confidence and capacity to be more effective changemakers. Whether that's change they want to make happen, or change they need to respond to.  Change needs to be led at different levels, and it's about attitudes, behaviours, relationships and skills as much as process and structure. It's also about forming a critical mass - 'coalitions of the willing' who have the courage, confidence and knowledge to lead through complex situations and better able to grasp opportunities and problems at an earlier stage.

For over 25 years Connie Young, Director and Principal Facilitator, has developed and delivered experiential learning programmes, events and networks across the UK, on leadership capacity development to help people work more effectively in change contexts.  Based in Glasgow, Connie works with, and involves, a great number of inspiring changemakers - people who want to share their experiences and keep learning from others.

More Effective Changemakers

In today's fast-paced, change-is-the-name-of-the-game world, to be effective as changemakers, there are six core skills that can make all the difference:

  • Bringing people together who aren't connected, but have useful insights to share.

  • Designing new business models by combining players and resources in new ways.

  • Persevering with an idea until you see success - resilience.

  • Not relying on status, but on the power of your ideas.

  • Persuading others to see the possibility of your ideas and join you in their pursuit.

  • Courage and stamina to keep going for the duration, and when it gets tough .

I have worked with Connie on several occasions and found her to be professional, inspiring and fun. Connie is innovative and creative in developing leadership programmes – they are never dull and they certainly get people thinking. Connie manages to get people to realise they can make a difference and that any small changes we make adds up to a better world. Would work with her again in a heartbeat.
