  • Development and facilitation of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce President's Club -  includes those based in the city region and internationally

  • Delivery and facilitation of workshops on leadership, globalisation, cross-cultural understanding and women's role in society for the Al Maktoum HE College in Scotland - attended by students from UAE, Egypt, and Malaysia

  • Delivery and facilitation of workshops to: broaden understanding of the world of work; match skills, interests and capabilities to future job types; build confidence and courage, for students on the Engineering Development Trust programmes.

  • Advisor and facilitator of useful senior connections to Napiershall Formula Ltd, Community Projects Scotland

  • Development and delivery of the 'Glasgow Flourish' leadership development programme for senior executives.  Experiential learning.

  • Working with the senior leadership teams at Braehead Foods and Cordia LLP on leadership development, strategy clarification, and target implementation. 

  • Individual coaching and mentoring.

Scotland Director for Common Purpose UK from 2006 to August 2013 – leading the teams in Scotland delivering a range of annual cross-sectoral leadership development courses. And specific recent and ongoing projects including:
 

  • Hungarian Telecom – May 2013 – Mid-Scotland
    3 day Leadership development programme for the senior management team to challenge their thinking on leadership and management. Help them become better and faster at adapting to change and more willing to adopt new ideas and practices - held in mid-Scotland

  • Commonwealth Study Visit – March 2013 – Glasgow
    As part of CSCLeaders 2013 programme, a 3 day visit to Glasgow by 22 senior leaders from Commonwealth countries. This study visit enabled the visitors to meet key people across a range of important organisations and companies and the sharing of leadership and organisational challenges. The theme was "How do people become the bridge-builders of tomorrow?"

  • Glasgow Council on Alcohol – November 2011
    A one-day workshop designed to re-energise the staff team, and inspire to think of new approaches to grapple with the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Al Maktoum College, Dundee

Head of Standards & Projects Consultancy for ENTO – UK Occupational Standards
During this time, Connie led the project which developed the first suite of standards for Coaching & Mentoring in the Workplace. Involved multiple consultations and discussion workshops throughout the UK over a 2 year period.

During this time Connie also worked on the following:

  • Renfrewshire Urban Regeneration Partnership
    Leadership development and skills/capacity building training workshops for Board Members, key workers, and their public and private sector advisors to enable them to work more effectively together and assist them in achieving their shared vision. This was one of many similar training workshops for Regeneration Partnerships in Scotland and England.

  • Journal of Lifelong Learning
    Set up and edited the Journal of Lifelong Learning Initiatives - developed an international readership over 6 years.
